Role
Iccrea Holding monitors, guides and coordinates Iccrea Banking Group Companies to achieve tailored quality products and services, defining business strategies, planning and result monitoring. Iccrea Holding shareholders include Credito Cooperativo and Casse Rurali (BCC-CR), the Italian Federation of BCC-CR (Federcasse), local Federations and other territorial bodies. As Parent Company, Iccrea Holding coordinates Iccrea Banking Group Companies providing an integrated offer aimed at increasing each Bank’s (institutional segment) effectiveness and provide, exclusively for its Credito Cooperativo clientele a range of products and services for small and medium size enterprises (corporate segment) and household saving and insurance (retail segment).
History
The creation of Iccrea Holding is the outcome of a strategic decision to reorganize the entire Cooperative Credit System, separating the association sector from the entrepreneurial one. The former thus includes Federations, to which BCC-CR is associated, and BCC-CR National Federation (Federcasse); while the latter gathers all companies dedicated to products and services aimed at all BCC-CR and its clientele. Iccrea Holding started off in 1995 with controlling stocks in Iccrea Banca, Banca Agrileasing and Aureo Gestioni. This lead to the set up of Iccrea Banking Group that in 2003 underwent an important strategic repositioning with a redefinition of its mission: support and guide BCC-CR market shares in three business sectors (Institutional, Corporate and Retail) promoting their role as protagonists of territorial development.
